Wedding Processionals Audio
Live music, especially harp music which is very elegant, is always preferable to a DJ for a Wedding Ceremony. There are several advantages. Incuded is:
- It creates a beautiful ambiance of sight and sound as your guests arrive and are being seated, setting the scene for your Wedding Ceremony.
- There is a much smoother transition between the Parents’ Processional to the Bridesmaids’ Processional, and then between the Bridesmaids’ Processional and th Bride’s Processional. It is impossible for a DJ to do that. With the DJ the song is stopped mid-phrase in order to switch for the next processional.
- The harp can be played very softly during the vows.
- Most brides PLAN to start on time. However, things happen; the limousine is late, etc. If your guests are kept waiting an extra 10-20 minutes for the ceremony to begin, it is much more enjoyable for them to be sitting and listening to live musician(s) as they wait.
In fact, the biggest regret that brides have following the wedding ceremony is that they opted for the DJ instead of hiring a live musician. Usually just trying to save money since the DJ is there for the reception. You may be concerned that it won’t be heard. We always bring an amplifier with us to reinforce the sound. We also do have a small battery powered amplifier that can be used if power is inaccessible.
Besides solo harp, there are other options available to you. Duo harp is very rare, so it creates a very unique atmosphere for you. A String Trio of harp, violin, and cello is lovely. Also harp, flute, cello. The same musician(s) can also play for the cocktail hour.
Below are some traditional Wedding Processionals and Recessionals, for both Christian and Jewish Wedding Ceremonies. But you certainly are not limited to these. In fact you may have played most any song you would like, as long as it is playable on the harp(s) or by the trio. At your personal consultation we will discuss your options.
